There is really no secret to making great kidswear. Our clothing is inspired by, and designed for KIDS. As simple as that. The result is a wonderful combination of colorful, fun prints, comfortable fabrics and a fit made for movement.

ÄVENTYR kidswear is based in South Portland, Maine, where our garments are designed by Swedish mom & designer Jenny McGillicuddy. Whether it's drawing fabric patterns, cutting, sewing or packing orders, she is often accompanied by her two children from whom she finds a lot of inspiration.

Jenny moved to Maine in the spring of 2013 with her American husband and their toddler. ÄVENTYR started to develop as she found there was a lack of variety in children's clothing, especially the gender neutral options. She wanted to make kidswear based on function and imagination, rather than gender. Comfortable, colorful and fun - for all kids!

We use materials that are good for your child's skin and for the environment. Our current styles are made with organic cotton. The prints are made using water-based, ecologically safe pigment ink.

We are proud to say that, not only our clothing is Made in USA, but that our fabrics are produced and printed domestically as well!
All fabric prints are our original design - you won't find them anywhere else!

To small children, every day is an adventure! Which is why we choose the name

ÄVENTYR - the Swedish word for adventure.
